TabLayout ViewPager не загружается при использовании Backstack

Я использую TabLayout в одном из своих фрагментов с помощью viewPager для переключения между двумя фрагментами под вкладками.

Когда я нажимаю FAB внутри одного из нижних фрагментов, я загружаю новый фрагмент (для ввода).

Однако, когда я нажимаю кнопку НАЗАД, отображается TabLayout, но БЕЗ ни одного из нижних фрагментов (представленных страницами).

Так что же я делаю не так?

• и есть ли лучший способ замены фрагментов?
• и есть ли способ нажать кнопку "Назад" и вернуться на отображаемую страницу viewPager?
